We are in an ongoing process of bringing together individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and expertise. Forming a committed team with wide perspectives to address the complex challenges of conservation in the 21st century.

Conservation Scientists: Experts in ecology, biology, zoology, botany, and other relevant fields who conduct research to understand ecosystems, species, and the impact of human activities on the environment.
Data Analysts and Technologists: Professionals who specialize in data analysis, remote sensing, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and other technologies to collect, manage, and analyse data for informed decision-making.
Community Engagement Specialists: Individuals with experience in community development, social sciences, anthropology, or related fields who engage with local communities to build trust, facilitate collaboration, and empower stakeholders in conservation efforts.
Policy Advocates and Legal Experts: Advocates who understand environmental policy, legislation, and international agreements, and can advocate for policies that promote conservation and environmental sustainability. Legal experts may also be needed to navigate regulatory frameworks and address legal challenges.

With over 25 years in business and a decade in consulting, he champions sustainability through initiatives like Wild Connection and vikela.earth, driving efficient and collaborative interventions for global challenges. His career reflects a commitment to harmonizing economic development with environmental stewardship, positioning him as a leader in sustainable solutions.

Claus, a seasoned advertising expert with over two decades of experience, has transitioned his creative prowess into high-profile conservation campaigns. With a passion for design and storytelling, his work reflects a commitment to crafting compelling narratives that drive awareness and change. His background in fine art adds depth to his campaigns, earning him recognition for his impactful contributions to conservation efforts.

A highly skilled and passionate scientists, setting benchmarks in research and applied methods. An expert in the reproduction of endangered species research, which includes coral propagation. Acclaimed internationally by her peers, Linda will provide astute guidance and input regarding project implementation, evaluation and migrate all technology through collaboration, globally.

Dr Bradley Schroder

Bradley Schroder is a highly skilled professional with a PhD in Production Ecology & Resource Ecology from Wageningen University. He’s experienced in corporate social responsibility, environmental issues, and natural resource management. Bradley’s also known for his passionate conservation activism, having run a full marathon on each continent wearing a 30kg Rhino costume to raise awareness for Rhino conservation.

Wiehann is a seasoned Skipper, Dive master, Dive instructor, and registered Tour guide with over 20 years of experience in the Shark diving and conservation sector. Passionate about tourism and conservation, he prioritizes environmental protection and is dedicated to being part of the solution. With a deep understanding of marine ecosystems, Wiehann is committed to educating others and continually enhancing his skills through exploration.

Lizel Kimber

Lizël Kimber, Director and CEO of Beyond Black Mountain, promotes tourism and conservation in Caledon and Theewaterskloof. Passionate about conserving resources, she’s the town ambassador and connects with the Sasol Solar Challenge team, coordinating with relevant departments and residents.

Nozipo Ndiweni

Nozi is a communications specialist and Executive Producer of the Living Land series on SABC2. She also owns No-Line Communication in Johannesburg. With Vikela, she’s known for organizing successful international webinars. Nozi is deeply involved in advocacy and policy work, focusing on humanitarian causes. She promotes eco-agri-tourism for economic and social development.

Stuart Smith

Stuart, a seasoned film editor/director from South Africa, began his journey in 1980 after film school. He swiftly ascended from a runner to roles including sound recordist, assistant camera, scriptwriter, and director. With over 35 years in the field, he specializes in unscripted documentaries, leveraging his expertise to craft engaging narratives that educate and entertain audiences.

Jessica Mc Master-Smit

Jessica Smit the owner of White Shark Projects, a conservationist focusing on the behaviour and welfare of the marine life with respect and admiration is admirable. She reflects a deep understanding of the importance of preserving natural habitats and ecosystems. The Recycle-Swop-Shop initiative also demonstrates her innovative approach to addressing environmental issues while empowering the local community making a positive impact on both the environment and society.

Carmen Dodd

Carmen is a qualified lawyer and financial practitioner. She also holds a masters degree in environmental law that she intends to put to strategic planning to endure sustainable outcomes. Being a lifelong dedicated conservationist Carmen brings a mix of passion and expertise.
